NC Missions Offering
Roadmap Animation
BSCNC needed creative and technical assistance to bring to life a creative concept which was based on two cartoon-illustrated disaster relief workers on their way to Gulfport, Mississippi. The characters, NiC and MO (and their environment), would be center stage for a marketing campaign to promote their NCMO fundraising event. Character illustrations had to look like real volunteer workers and include a 1952 Ford truck loaded with building materials and tools.
BP Studios provided character development and animations, as well as graphics design and layout services. The campaign included an interactive match game and roadmap animation for the web, and a “CandyLand” style poster for print.
The "CandyLand" syle roadmap animation showed truck movement from NC to Gulfport using 16 separate files corresponding to 16 roadmap locations and 16 financial targets. Implemented in WorldCast CMS, BSCNC staff administered animation files from point to point as money targets were met. Animations ran in predetermined order to get NiC and MO to Gulfport and replayed upon screen refreshes. Celebration animations also included ran in random order with online donation or shopping cart checkout.
